Each week on Thursdays there will be a drop-in meditation period followed by a dharma talk and discussion. Carla Brennan, BOTP Guiding Teacher, will usually be leading the session. When Carla is unable to teach, there will be a guest teacher or senior student. New and experienced students are welcome to attend.

Nicola Amadora PhD. is a Dharma Teacher and Hakomi Therapist. She has been leading retreats and trainings for 25 years in Europe and the USA. Nicola lived and studied with Thich Nhat Hahn, is initiated in the tibetan Karma Kagyu lineage and trained in Vipassana at the Spirit Rock Center as a Dharma leader. She has been practicing daily meditation since 1983 and has been teaching Dharma & Mindfulness for beginning and advanced students at different centers. Her joy is to support people to awaken, to live present and wholeheartedly in their relationships and our world. Nicola teaches with a warm heart, humor and depth.

Scott Tusa is a Buddhist teacher based in Brooklyn, New York. He teaches meditation and Buddhist psychology nationally and supports Tsoknyi Rinpoche’s Pundarika Sangha as a practice advisor. He trained in Buddhist philosophy and meditation with some of the greatest living masters since his early twenties, including Lama Zopa Rinpoche, Tsoknyi Rinpoche, and Tulku Sangag Rinpoche. Ordained by His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama, he spent nine years as a Buddhist monk, with much of that time engaged in solitary meditation retreat and study in the United States, India, and Nepal. DONATIONS: This program is offered on a “dana” basis. There is a suggested sliding scale of $5-15 for the evening. More or less is gratefully accepted. No one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Non-monetary donations are also welcomed.

Please arrive on time and stay for the entire program.

PARKING: 920 41st Ave. is at the corner of Bain Ave. and 41st. It is near the Family Cycling Center and across Bain from Betty’s Burgers. There is a parking lot behind the 920 41st building and there is parking on Bain Ave. Please enter the building from the parking lot side.
